Beauty with heart

iheartallah:

If you’re feeling inadequate because you’re not able to pray in these final days of Ramadan, try these

1. Get a treasure in Jannah. Say: لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

The Prophet (s) said, “Be frequent in saying ‘There is no might or power except by Allah, (Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh)’ For verily, it is a treasure from the treasures of Paradise.’” [سنن الترمذی :3601]

2. Get a palace in Jannah. Say: Surah al-Ikhlas (10 times)

The Prophet (s) said, “Whoever recites Surah al-Ikhlas ten times, Allah will build a palace for him in paradise.” Umar ® said, “Then we will have many palaces in Jannah?” The Prophet (s) replied, “Allah has even more and better than that.” [السلسلة الصحيحة:589]

3. Landscape Jannah. Say: سُبْحَانَ الله وَالْحَمْدُ لله وَلاَ إله إِلاَّ الله وَالله أَكْبَرُ

The Prophet (s) said, “I met Ibrahim on the Night of Ascension (Al-Isra), and he said to me, ‘O Muhammad, convey my greetings to your Ummah, and tell them that Jannah has a vast plain of pure soil and sweet water. It is a plain levelled land. The plants grow there by uttering: Subhan-Allah, Al-hamdu lillah, La ilaha illallah, and Allahu Akbar.” [السلسلة الصحيحة : 105]

Or say: سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ

The Prophet (s) said, “Whoever says ‘SubhanAllahil ‘adheemi wa bihamdihi’ a tree is planted for him in Paradise.” [سنن الترمذی:3465]

4. Get all your sins forgiven. Say: SubhanAllahi wa bihamdihi (100 times)

The Prophet (s) said, “Whoever says, ‘Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi,’ one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea.” [صحیح البخاری: 6405]

Or say: Astaghfirullahal ladhee laa ilaha illaa huwal Hayyul Qayyoomu wa atoobu ilayh

The Prophet (s) said, “Whoever says أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الَّذِي لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَىُّ الْقَيُّومُ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ (I seek forgiveness from Allah, the One besides whom there is none worthy of worship, the Living, the Sustainer of all, and I repent to him), all his sins will be forgiven, even if he had fled from battle.” [Sunan Abi Dawud 1517]

5. Earn a thousand good deeds. Say: SubhanAllah (100 times)

The Prophet (s) said, “Is anyone amongst you powerless to earn one thousand good deeds every day? …. Say tasbeeh one hundred times and one thousand good deeds are recorded and one thousand sins are erased.” [صحیح مسلم:7027]

6. Fill the Scales. Say: Alhamdulillah

The Prophet (s) said, “Cleanliness is half of faith and al-Hamdu Lillah (Praise be to Allah) fills the scale.” [صحیح مسلم:223]

7. Fill the space between the sky and the earth. Say: Allahu Akbar

The Prophet (s) said, “Allahu Akbar fills what is between the sky and the earth.” [مسند احمد:22908]

8. Earn the reward of worshipping the entire night. Recite: The last two verses of Surah al-Baqarah.

The Prophet (s) said, “Whoever recites the last two verses of Surat al-Baqarah at night, that will be sufficient for him.” [صحیح البخاری: 5051]

Ibn Hajar said, أَيْ أَجْزَأَتَا عَنْهُ مِنْ قِيَامِ اللَّيْلِ بِالْقُرْآنِ “Meaning, they will suffice him for qiyamul layl” [Fathul Bari]

9. Earn the reward of giving charity. Say: SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Laa ilaha illAllah, Allahu Akbar.

The Prophet (s) said, “In the morning, charity is due from every bone in the body of every one of you. Every utterance of glorification (i.e., saying SubhanAllah) is an act of charity. Every utterance of praise (i.e., saying Alhamdulillah) is an act of charity, every utterance of profession of His Oneness (i.e., saying Laa ilaha illAllah) is an act of charity, every utterance of profession of His Greatness (i.e., saying Allahu Akbar) is an act of charity, enjoining good is an act of charity, forbidding what is disreputable is an act of charity, and two rak'ahs which one prays in the forenoon will suffice.” [صحیح مسلم:720]

10. Earn a mountain of reward. Give a date.

The Prophet (s) said, “If anyone gives as Sadaqa the equivalent of a date from honestly (earning) earned - because Allah accepts only what is pure - the Lord would accept it with His Right Hand, and even if it is a date, it would grow in the Hand of the lord, as one of you fosters his colt, till it becomes bigger than a mountain.” [صحیح مسلم: 1014]

11. Want to be called from the gates of Jannah? Give a pair.

The Prophet (s) said, “The one who spends a pair in the way of Allah will be summoned from the gates of the Garden and told, ‘O slave of Allah, this is good.” [صحیح البخاری]

12. Share this khayr

The Prophet (s) said, “Whoever introduces a good practice that is followed after him, will have a reward for that and the equivalent of their reward, without that detracting from their reward in the slightest.” [صحیح مسلم: 1017]

Many people have a SCARCITY mentality which means that they view everything as limited so it’s better to be selfish and snatch from others rather than be generous. It’s the mindset that there is not enough to go around so the competition needs to be taken down. This mentality leads to vicious jealousy, backbiting and stabbing others in the back to get ahead. You can imagine the distressed mental state, the diseased heart and the lack of faith of a person like this. They are always anxious and angry at other people’s success because they feel when another person moves forward they are somehow moving backwards.

Then there are those more self-actualized individuals that have an ABUNDANCE mentality where people feel there is enough for everybody. Stephen Covey coined the terms to portray the mindset in business which dictates your dealings with competition. A person who has this optimistic mindset is motivated to achieve and contribute without taking anyone down. Their focus is on self-improvement not taking down the competition. They feel at peace, their conscience is clear and they want the best for everyone. It’s obvious that the abundance mentality is more in sync with our Islamic principles which leads to better interpersonal relationships, and inner peace.

It takes a wise person to realize that everyone’s sustenance has been written by Allah and no one can change that. Feeble minded individuals waste their time trying to alter Allah’s plan not realizing they are destroying themselves.

If you have had a scarcity mentality make an effort to change by doing the following:

1. Trust Allah’s plan

2. Train your heart to be happy for others

3. Don’t question a person’s success or blessings - know Allah is the distributor and who are you to question Allah?

4. Be generous knowing that generosity will increase your blessings

5. Focus on your success rather than taking others down

6. Purify your heart with thikr (esteqfar- repentance) and ask Allah to remove this animosity from your heart

7. Be grateful for what you have

I have witnessed the most intelligent and religious people operate from a scarcity mentality which leads them to acting very petty and selfish.

May Allah purify our intentions and help us to truly want the best for others. Allow us ya Allah to have an abundance mentality so we can overcome our jealousy, greed, hate and selfishness. Help our hearts to heal from any past pain so we don’t intentionally or unintentionally hurt the people around us. Ameen🤲🏼

“The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You trade in your sense for an act. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. There can’t be any large-scale revolution until there’s a personal revolution, on an individual level. It’s got to happen inside first.”

More than 80% of parents in the U.S. support the teaching of climate change. And that support crosses political divides, according to the results of an exclusive new NPR/Ipsos poll: Whether they have children or not, two-thirds of Republicans and 9 in 10 Democrats agree that the subject needs to be taught in school.

A separate poll of teachers found that they are even more supportive, in theory — 86% agree that climate change should be taught.

These polls are among the first to gauge public and teacher opinion on how climate change should be taught to the generation that in the coming years will face its intensifying consequences: children.

And yet, as millions of students around the globe participate in Earth Day events on Monday, our poll also found a disconnect. Although most states have classroom standards that at least mention human-caused climate change, most teachers aren’t actually talking about climate change in their classrooms. And fewer than half of parents have discussed the issue with their children.

Lets talk about how hard it is to open up to someone about being sad for no reason. Lets talk about how hard it is to explain that you have this heavy feeling in your chest for no reason. Lets talk about how hard it is to understand why you’re having a panic attack while just taking a walk back home. Lets talk about how hard it is to understand your own self and how scary it is to feel like the whole world is falling on your shoulders and you have no idea why.
